Tentang Jeram Berang-Berang
Otter Rapids is a river race seen from above. An otter on a leaf raft paddles down a winding current against three rivals, a beaver, a duck and a turtle, and the water never stops moving. You do not control the speed. You pick the line.
The river is divided into five legs with their own scenery and hazards: Meadow Creek, Pine Rapids, Red Canyon, Misty Falls and Sunset Delta. Slalom gates between the buoys are what keep you in the race, because every gate adds a little time to a clock that is always running down. After the fifth leg the river starts again with faster water.
Cara bermain
- After the countdown the current carries you downstream. Steer left and right to choose your line.
- Pass between the two buoys of each gate to add time to the clock. Gates in a row build a streak of up to x5 for extra points.
- A missed gate costs one second and ends the streak.
- Avoid rocks and drifting logs, which knock most of your speed off, and whirlpools, which drag you round in a circle. Streaks of fast water speed you up.
- Collect fish for points. A gold fish is worth 100 points and three extra seconds.
- Cross the finish line of each leg ahead of your rivals. First place earns the most time and points, fourth the least.
- The run ends when the clock reaches zero. Your score is the distance traveled plus all your bonuses.
Kontrol
- Keyboard
- Left and Right arrows or A and D to steer. With a mouse, move the pointer and the raft follows it.
- Layar sentuh
- Touch and drag left or right. The raft steers toward your finger.
Tips
- Stay in the middle of the river between gates. The current is slower near the banks.
- Look two gates ahead and set up early. The raft turns gently, so late corrections usually miss.
- Waterfalls throw you into the air and clean over the rocks below them, with a small bonus when you land.
- Later gates are narrower and give less time, so the early legs are where you bank your seconds.
- A rival ahead shows as a marker at the top of the screen. Their line through the gates is usually a safe one to copy.
